💡 Did you know?
The first people lived by hunting, fishing and gathering food from nature. They arrived here as the Ice Age came to an end. They probably travelled by rowing or sailing simple boats, but we also know they hunted wild reindeer in the mountains. As the climate became warmer, the reindeer gradually followed the retreating glaciers northwards.

Hunting blinds were built along the routes of wild reindeer. Here, hunters waited with bows and arrows to hunt reindeer and provide food for themselves and their families.
